harum manis ikan bakar

i just came back from '3-day bengkel' at Arau. apart from attending that serious and formal bengkel, we took the opportunity to relax our mind jalan2 perabih duit sambil makan2, hehe. alang2 pergi perlis, round kawasan jap. i havent be there,seriously. once we arrived there, checked-in hotel, and then, yahoooooo..Padang Besar, im cominggg. bunyi sohor sgt padang besar, try gi lah. but for me, it's not as best giler as i heard (sorry perlis people). biasa je. similar to rantau panjang or pengkalan kubur or bukit bunga in my hometown. there are pakaian, kerongsang, beg, toys, makanan which are mostly made in thailand sold there. i bought kacang gajus bakar je. sedapp, RM 10 per 200gm.

the next evening, we went to kuala perlis, tried laksa kuala perlis. the most suggested one, kedai kaksu, selling the one and only menu, laksa. the kuah is more or less laksa penang la. but here it's called laksa kuala perlis with its own ingredients i bet. the taste was nice for the first try. next try, it became more tasty and tastier sampai tk sedar dh habih. the kuah was so pekat. i like it, but kalau kurang pekat, lagi i prefer.. weekend ni nk masak laksa penang lah. slurrp.slurrp.

the 3rd night, we went to the most awaited agenda, the first thing came in mind after heard that we are going to bengkel. yess, makan ikan bakar kat kuala perlis. yumm, yummy, yumm. we ordered ikan jenahak bakar, sotong celup tepung, kerang bakar, tomyam and kailan ikan masin. sedapnya sampai menjilat jari. the cost only RM 70++ for 5 persons. worth the price la. nak dtg lagi ngan family nanti.

dh datang perlis, tak sah tk bawak balik mempelam harum manis. yeahh, i bought 10 kilos of harumanis, sala and nam dok mai mango. we all did actually. sempat lagi tu. thank you to puan Che Aminah for supplying the mempelam. nasib baik masih lagi musimnya. kalu tak, tak merasa la harumanis. i also bought ikan masin, kerepek and beras pulut susu. buah tangan dari perlis. next week, im off to kampung. boleh la bawak balik kampung sikit.

p/s: lots of thanks to kak liza and kak mai for the treat, kak naimah, kak fizah, encik razak. congratulation to all for successfully undergoing the bengkel. good for me for the first try. nak pegi lg kalau ada peluang.
